Vicuña in Style

Loro Piana Pure Vicuna Dark Brown Herringbone Jacket

The exclusiveness of a bespoke garment itself is a defining luxurious experience. The  value behind starts from the mountain plateaus of Peru, home to the vicuña, where the finest and rarest of the fibre of this jacketing is sourced. Loro Piana’s support in protecting the diminutive member of the camel family renders the company the foremost processor of vicuña. Its fibre, with an average diameter of only 12.5-13 microns, is gathered once every two years but only 120-150 grams of fleece can be produced from each adult after the coarser hairs are removed. The resulting dark brown herringbone fabric shown here has an exquisitely soft handfeel. Our client prefers padded shoulders to give a stronger visual effect of V-shape, a distinctive feature of personal style. The sports jacket is cut with an accentuated waistline and the lapel width is midway of the shoulder. This is a classic approach as we are tailoring a garment of timeless fashion. And we hope this jacket is going to be passed down from generation to generation.
